Central recording, retention and management in one place

The recorder is where systems quietly fail

Cameras are visible and get attention. The recorder sits in a cupboard, and its failures are silent: a disk that failed months ago, retention that turned out to be eleven days rather than thirty, a clip that cannot be exported in a format anyone else can open. None of it is noticed until footage is needed, which is the worst moment to find out.

Recording specified, then verified

We size storage against the resolution, frame rate and camera count actually installed, and against how far back you need to look. Where continuity matters, disks are configured so a single failure does not lose the recordings. Then we verify it — playback, export and retention checked on handover rather than assumed.

What's included

How this is actually delivered

  • Retention sized against real requirements

Calculated from your camera count and settings, not estimated from a box specification.

  • Surveillance-grade disks

Drives built for continuous write. Desktop disks in a recorder fail early and predictably.

  • Redundancy where it is warranted

RAID configurations so one disk failing does not take the recordings with it. Specified where the site justifies it.

  • Export that works elsewhere

Clips exported in a format that opens on an ordinary computer — which matters when footage goes to an insurer or the police.

  • Health visible before it matters

Disk and recording status set up so a problem surfaces while it is still fixable.

Where this applies

  • Any site recording more than a handful of cameras
  • Premises with insurance or compliance retention requirements
  • Multi-camera factories and warehouses
  • Institutions keeping longer histories
  • Upgrades from an overloaded DVR

What you get out of it

  • Retention that matches what you were told it would be
  • One disk failure does not lose the footage, where configured for it
  • Playback and export that work when they are needed
  • Problems visible before footage is lost
