Analogue systems run out of room
An older installation reaches its limit in a specific way: the recorder has no spare channels, resolution cannot be improved without replacing the cabling, and adding four cameras means a second recorder and a second app. The system stops matching the premises, and extending it costs more than it should.
A network you can keep building on
IP cameras run over standard network cabling with power delivered down the same cable. Resolution is higher, positions are easier to add, and one recorder and one app cover the site as it grows. The design work is in the network — switch capacity, cable routes and bandwidth planned for where you expect to be in a few years, not only for today.
What's included
How this is actually delivered
Higher resolution where it matters
Enough detail to identify rather than merely notice — specified per position, since not every camera needs it.
Power over Ethernet
One cable per camera for data and power. Fewer points of failure and far less to install.
Designed to extend
Switch capacity and cable routes planned so the next camera is an addition, not a rebuild.
Bandwidth and storage planned together
Higher resolution consumes more of both. Sized at design time, not discovered when recordings start overwriting early.
Kept off your business network where appropriate
Cameras can be segregated so surveillance traffic and business traffic do not share a path.
Where this applies
- Premises expecting to expand
- Multi-floor offices and buildings
- Factories and larger industrial sites
- Campuses and institutions
- Sites needing identification-grade detail
- Existing analogue systems being upgraded
What you get out of it
- Detail sufficient to identify, not just to notice
- Adding cameras later without replacing the system
- One recorder and one app across the whole site
- Simpler cabling and fewer failure points
